UNIBEN STUDENT SHOT DEAD IN ASABA DURING APC'S HOUSE OF REP PRIMARY.

A student of the University Of Benin(FECOTECH CAMPUS), Asaba identified as Henry Nweke was today killed by stray bullets from a gun shot by a policeman during the All Progressive Congress, APC's House Of Representatives primary held in Asaba

The tragic incident occurred when an unidentified policeman shot in the middle of the primary election and the victim was hit by stray bullets as two others sustained injuries.

Students on ground immediately apprehended the killer policeman as he was about fleeing the scene. He was later handed over to his colleagues from command headquarters for investigation and prosecution.

The Student Union Government president, Oso Ethel in a facebook post has asked students to remain calm and let the law take it's cause as two wrongs cannot make a right.

Thanking the NANS/JCC chairman-elect, Dio Oreva Rex and other stakeholders for their prompt response to the emergency call put across to them,  he also condemned the unethical activities of the APC for throwing the students of the school  into mourning as the conduct of their primaries nationwide have been marred with violence and death.

Calls put across to the force headquarters for comments about the incident were left unanswered as at the time of filing this report.

Reacting to the killing, the JCC chairman, Comr Dio Oreva Rex, frowned at the unprofessional conduct of the police officer and called on the commissioner of police for his immediate dismissal.

He also called for the immediate release of arrested Comr Onyeamai Martin and sued for peace and calmness from all aggrieved parties as his leadership is already ontop of the situation.
