MONDAY IGBUYA BAGS THREE MONTHS SUSPENSION FOR FINANCIAL RECKLESSNESS

         
The Delta State House of Assembly has suspended the immediate past Speaker of the house, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, for three months over allegations of financial recklessness during his tenure as Speaker of the house.

A three member ad hoc committee was also setup to review a plenary report of a committee earlier set up by the house to investigate the matter during its executive session on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 which was submitted on February 27, 2018.

The suspension is to enable the committee carry out a detailed investigation without interference.

The committee which is headed by the Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Bomadi Constituency, Hon. Oboro Preyor has Hon. Azuka Azaka, Ndokwa West and Hon. Rueben Izeze, Ughelli South Constituency are members.

The committee is expected to submit its report on October, 9th 2019.
