FATHER OF THREE SHOT DEAD IN AKWA IBOM APC GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY

Late Udeme Efanga

Tragedy struck as a middle aged man identified as Ukeme Efanga was shot dead during the governorship primary election of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Akwa Ibom.

The deceased was shot dead by Etim Effiong Ekpo aka 'Triple E' an elder of the Apostolic Church in Ifiayong Esuk.

Deceased Efanga was a father to three children before his demise.

The tragic incident happened after a verbal disagreement between the duo as Efanga was a supporter of Senator John Udoedehe, while Ekpo, a supporter of Obong Nsima Ekere.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that after the argument, Ekpo went home to bring his gun and shot the victim at close range. He died on the spot.

The victims corpse was afterwards taken to the state secretariat of the party but no official was around to receive it.

It is not certain if the killing  has been reported to the police officially but the primary election didn't hold in Uruan as Divisional Police Officer for Uruan, Supol Abia has returned materials meant for the exercise to the state secretariat of the party.
